Bike to Work Day

About the Project

Bike to Work Day is one of the larger annual events the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition takes part in. Much goes into planning, promoting, and documenting the event. I designed display advertisements to be installed in transit stations, shelters, and vehicles within the parameters of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency and ClearChannel Outdoor. Further, I designed assets for use on social media platforms including Twitter and Instagram.

Additionally, I was one of several photographers shooting images of participants and volunteers at various locations set up throughout the Mission, South of Market, and Hayes Valley neighborhoods of San Francisco.

Event

Bike to Work Day (BTWD) celebrates those who regularly commute to work by bicycle and encourages others to try it out for themselves. While BTWD takes place on different days throughout the country, counties in the San Francisco Bay Area typically hold BTWD on the second Thursday in May.
